Q:
Where do you provide services?
A:
We provide care for you or your loved one(s) wherever they are—at home, in a senior facility, or healthcare facility. Our Service Area includes St Louis, St Charles, Franklin, and Jefferson counties, as well as, St Louis City.
Q:
Are your caregivers insured and bonded?
A:
Yes. To help ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, we perform a criminal history background check, and provide bonding.
Q:
Will I have a choice of who comes to my home?
A:
Yes. We encourage your involvement in the decision-making process. And with our screening and selection process, you can be assured that we do our best to take the guesswork out of matching the right caregiver to you and your family. We'll never send a caregiver who doesn't meet your needs, and we will seek to accommodate any requests you may have for a change in caregivers.
Q:
Will my family member always receive care from the same caregiver?
A:
Our goal is to establish a long-term care giving relationship with your loved one. However, if your loved one receives care for many hours in a day or at different times of the day throughout the week, it may be necessary to schedule more than one caregiver in a given week. If your family requires multiple caregivers, our goal is the same: we want you to be satisfied and happy. We'll do what it takes to make sure we achieve that goal.
Q:
Can Abradel In-Home Care Solutions help with medications?
A:
Our care givers can always assist in reminding individuals to take their medications. In fact, medication reminders are one of our most requested services. We can also report any side effects and assist with pre-measured medication packages.
Q:
Can I change or discontinue the services my loved one receives?
A:
You can change the number or type of service we provide your loved one whenever it's necessary. We understand the care situation can quickly change, so we're as flexible as possible with your loved one's care. In addition, entering into a long-term contract is never a condition to using our services.
Q:
How can I verify a shift was completed?
A:
Abradel In-Home Care Solutions uses several tools to track our caregivers. We use timesheets filled out by each caregiver, and signed by the client or authorized representative. This allows you to have a written record of services within the home where care is provided. And we can provide written verification at any time.
Q:
Do I need a physician's authorization for your services?
A:

No. You don't need pre-authorization, pre-qualification, certification or even a prescription for Abradel In-Home Care Solutions in-home care services. You choose the services you want, when to start those services and how often the services are used.

If you request assistance with billing a private insurance policy (such as long-term care insurance) for our services, we're happy to help with the "benefits coordination" process. This includes providing any documentation you need for reimbursement by an insurance carrier.

Q:
What are the costs of your services?
A:

Every family we serve receives a Custom In-Home Care Plan specific to their needs and budget. Several factors help determine the exact cost. These include:

  • Number of hours of care per week
  • Level of home care services received (non-medical, skilled nursing, companion, etc.)
  • Our services are typically billed on an hourly basis. This makes it easy to make a Custom Care In-home Plan for you. To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact our office. We’ll set up an in-home care consultation to begin discussing a customized in-home care plan and the rates for each service on your plan.
  • We always provide a written rate sheet prior to initiating services. Rates will never be increased without prior notice.
Q:
Do I pay the caregiver directly?
A:

No. You (or an authorized representative) are only invoiced after the completion of services. Usually, this happens weekly. You never have to pay caregivers directly. And you'll never be asked to pay an additional fee to any employee.

Q:
How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?
A:

We adhere to all applicable federal and state guidelines related to privacy of personal and healthcare information. This starts once we have a formal service agreement, before a caregiver even comes to your family member's home. The written service agreement states the exact restrictions on the use of your information.   No unauthorized person will be given access to information without a client's – or legally authorized representative's – formal consent.

Your information is never sold to a third party under any circumstances. In fact, only the office personnel and caregivers who are directly involved in your services will have access to information related to the care of your loved one.

Q:
Abradel In-Home Care Solutions seems like a good choice. What's the next step?
A:

You may contact us by phone, email, or fax. We'll arrange a time to visit you, your family and/or any authorized representative to fully discuss your particular situation and how we might help.

Together, we'll go over the care your family needs and the care we provide. We'll answer all of your questions regarding services and costs. Then, we'll begin putting together a care plan and matching your loved one with the right caregiver. Usually, care can begin within a matter of a few days.

Q:
What happens once I decide to work with Abradel In-Home Care Solutions?
A:
A social worker or nurse will visit your home at no cost to you and work with you to determine the types of services that will best fit your situation.  This social worker or nurse also wants to get to know you, your needs and habits, which he or she will consider while developing a care plan for you.
Q:
When will I meet my caregiver?
A:
At Abradel In-Home Care Solutions, you play an important role in caregiver selection.  We don’t even consider which caregivers might be most appropriate for you until after the In-home Consultation.  Once we understand your needs and your environment, our social worker or nurse meets with the personnel manager to determine which caregivers will best fit your situation.

Our social worker or nurse will then introduce you to your caregiver on their first visit.  He or she will also continue to monitor the quality of our service to you.  We also maintain detailed care notes on you to ensure proper tracking and oversight.  Our goal is to foster a caring, stable and lasting relationship between you and the AICS staff that assist you.  That relationship starts with the way we treat you and our employees.
Q:
Who pays the caregiver?
A:

Abradel In-Home Care Solutions takes care of all billing, payroll, employee/employer taxes, workers compensation & liability insurance, bonding and administrative/scheduling responsibilities for you.  You do not have to worry about paying extra taxes, or reporting employment information to local, state and federal agencies.

Every Abradel In-Home Care Solutions caregiver is an employee — not a sub-contractor or independent operator.  We work hard to minimize your personal and family risks when you are at a time of the greatest need and risk.

Q:
Are your services limited to seniors?
A:
No.  Our services can be arranged to fit your needs.  We also provide services to disabled persons, individuals recuperating after a hospital stay, well child care, as well as help for new mothers, and families with chronically ill children.

Contact us today by phone, fax, email or mail.  Let us know how we may meet your needs.
